As panther fans we all know that facing Buffalo in our next game is going to be that Panther letdown after such a great win. We all know it, they do this all the time. Once they figure out how to win games they SHOuLD win then tey will have turned the corner. Until that happens they are the same old Panthers.

Great game tonight by all of the youngsters. Shore played hard, Matthias fast, Barkov smart, Huby playing better, Gudy strong.

Id go w Thomas next game. Let's not be fooled, Thomas gives them the best chance, must start him.

Haha, right??? I was thinking the exact same thing after the game, I knew they played yesterday but didn't know who, saw Buffalo and said "Crap, that's a 2-1 loss". Its remarkable they can take 2-1 on Pitt, work over Montrael a few times, beat the Ducks earlier in the season, walked into Vancouver and slapped them, then games against Islanders, Buffalo and Carolina are so hard to win.

If we won half of the "should be a win" games this season, we'd be in fine shape. Only 7 points out, its not hard to make a run with so many games against these teams ahead of us left, but time is up for losing games like tomorrow night!

They said Tomas will be in net tomorrow. They said he was still recovering from an illness so they give him an extra day.

And ya I think most panther fans think we will be walking into a loss tomorrow. Question is who does Buff start miller or enroth? Funny enough I think we have a better chance if it's miller since enroth seems to play great against us...

The pk is good because look who is behind the bench, madden and skrudland both penalty killers. Need an offensive assistant for the pp

Where is this Panthers team every game?! An azz whopping on the supposed best team in the East at home. I get fans frustration when we see our team play like this against the best teams in the league and then crap the bed against mediocre to bad teams. Seeing them play like they did last night makes a fan excited for whats to come in the very near future. Young teams are very inconsistent and that is what we have here with this team. The talent is there minus one or two more pieces like we've said, mainly a pure sniper, but something HAS to be done about the pathetic PP. That is supposed to be an advantage for a team, and a time to come up with big goals but when the Panthers go on the PP it's like they are shorthanded. They play better 5 on 5. Too much passing, and stupid passes, and no one screening in front. How much longer can this go on this way? Great game by the Panthers though last night and very fun to watch. Now keep it going every game.

If we in tonight we are, shockingly, right back in the playoff race. Crazy that we are still in it. 7 pts behind Columbus right now. I think we need to finish January with at least 5 pts of our remaining 4 or 5 games. We've beaten the Avs, Leafs, and Wings this season. We also play Boston who has our number. If we are close, make some trades and give it a push.

Yea but no rent-a-player for a chance for short term results

Agreed. With the amount of money we have to spend and the talent we have, we have some pieces to trade.

The trades Tallon makes this year could make or break this team for years to come. Hopefully it's to put this team over the top and make them contenders. They aren't that far away and it's obvious when we see them show up against the top teams like last night. Tallon better be doing his homework for the deadline and offseason signings. I think a guy like Callahan could be great for the young players on this team to get in the offseason.

I would love to have Cally here. A good market for him. I just want it to be FA day already!

We should be offering up flash, Kulikov, and a 1st. Maybe even matthias and howden. If we lose Mathias we still have shore and trocheck. We need to get a big time player come deadline which will be pretty hard considering, but lets stay optimistic.

what are you offering all of that for? Please don't say Callahan. He's a UFA.

Yeah I wouldn't be offering Kulikov or top prospects for any player that will be a FA after the year. They have plenty of $ to throw at Callahan after the season and don't have to give up anyone to get him.

Wow can't believe we came out on top of this one! Thought for sure we were going to blow it at the end on the LONG PK. Tim Tomas coming up big again!

And how about the panthers scoring 9 goals in the last two games!?! Half the time we are lucky enough to get that in 4-5 games.

Also hope Barkov injury doesn't put him out long that's going to really hurt...

HAHAHA do you think I'm an idiot? Why would I suggest going after Callahan when we could just wait until FA. I was just putting these players out there as offering pieces or is trade bait better for you? Whatever team wants to take the bait and offer up something worth going after. Obviously something that makes us a better team preferably an offensive talent like evander kane for an example.

Big, tough win last night. Inching closer to a playoff spot and Tallon should be a buyer at the deadline if they keep winning obviously. Thomas was a little off letting up a couple of weak goals in the 1st but made the big saves when they needed it. Could've easily been a 6-3 score with a couple of posts hit in the 1st. I can't say enough about Bjugstad. Seems like everytime he has the puck on his stick around the net the guy fires a laser to score. The goal last night was a perfect shot with little room to get it by Miller who seemed to be in shock when he got it in over his shoulder. He going to be fun to watch for many years to come. Winchester is adding some great energy to the team and coming up with big plays for this team. PP still looked bad even though they only had one chance I believe. Still think Horachek needs to put Huberdeau back with Bjugstad and Upshall and hopefully Barkov isn't hurt to bad as I don't really remember which play he got hurt on. Hopefully we get an update today.

According to some media ppl I know Horachek said his injury is not serious at all. He was held out for precautionary reasons. And we didn't inch closer to anything since the Jackets won.. we technically gained no ground at all. Plus the freaking Isles and Devils won. We just kept pace. The remaining games this month are HUGE. Need to win 3 of 4 at least.

I'd also dangle Upshall out there. We can win all we want but other teams need to lose. Our problem is the 3 wins in our first 18 games. That KILLED our season. We have what, 32 games left? We gotta win at least 23 of 'em or so I'd say.

I'll say it again, Matthias is being wasted on the 4th line. See how he played lSt night replacing Barkov when he got injured? Unfortunately Barkov and Bjustad are our 1st and 2nd line centers
